Good Things Come in Threes

“Good things come in threes” is my take on an old expression, and one shared recently by a teacher in a workshop on money.  The number three is playing out in my life as I plan the launch of my new book The Art of Listening to Angels.  I have three events planned around the launch and as I move forward with Facebook postings, flyers, emails, and all the wonderful stuff that goes with making an event succeed, the number three seemed to be crying out for an explanation.

Why am I promoting three events at one time, I asked myself.  Could it have a deeper meaning?  I chose to explore that possibility. Read more.

Three is such a sacred number.  It connects us to the Trinity, an elusive concept that even Richard Rohr, one of my favorite Christian authors, is just now exploring in depth in his new book The Divine Dance: The Trinity and Your Transformation.  A friend recommended the book a few weeks ago, so it is now the book I am reading each precious, free moment I have.  In the little bit that I have read so far, the Trinity, even though it is such a central concept for Christianity – Catholic or Protestant –  is not well understood even by the greatest theologians.

Three can be understood in terms of Father, Son, Holy Spirit – the traditional trinity.  Or Mind, Body, Heart (Soul, spirit, or whatever else is placed in that third spot of the trinity for wholeness as a human being).  Three plays in the triad of Thesis, Antithesis, and Synthesis – an expression of paradox and paradigm shift.

Three is a key number in sacred geometry, a subject I love to teach so that I can learn it at greater depth.  (Don’t we all do that to some extent?)  There are three sides to a triangle.  Triangles form the faces of three of the five Platonic solids – the building blocks of creation. Three is necessary to define space.  Two points form a line.  It is the third point off the line that creates space.

Three is the number of individuals in a triad, a powerful grouping for in depth processing.  One is the speaker, one is the active listener, and the third is the witness.  Two friends and I used that as part of our joint spiritual inquiry for several years and reached deep insights that we would not have seen if not for the triad grouping.  Recently, triads were used as part of a workshop for visionaries as we shared what it was that might be keeping us from manifesting our visions.  It was a powerful exercise, made more so by the number three.  There is something to the addition of the quiet, objective witness that makes the exercise more potent.

In terms of numerology, three is associated with creativity, communication, and innovation.  Not to mention, the threesomes of past-present-future, thought-word-action, and heaven-human-earth.  That last one is particularly meaningful for me because my overall passion is to live heaven on earth and help others do so with the assistance of angels.  That is why I feel the angels have asked me to write my book on how to listen to them.  They want to help us bring more of the heavenly qualities of joy, peace, and love into the earthly realm.  That is their role – helping us to live our role with ease and grace.

So that leads me back to my launch events.  There are three of them.  More will follow.

For now, read below and see what appeals to you.  Help me get my message out for attending one of these or at least buying a book on launch day.  (I will send more info on how to purchase books in the next couple of weeks.)

Two events on book launch day, October 30:

What Angels Most Want Us to Know

A Free Workshop and Book Launch for The Art of Listening to Angels

October 30, 2 to 4 p.m.

Unity by the Bay, 4 Pointless Forest Trail, Annapolis, MD

Have you ever wondered whether angels really exist?  Do they only appear to people with special gifts or talents?  What if they are available to everyone, but no one is listening?

Come hear how angels got through to me in my mid-40s, and let me know that I was loved when I felt unlovable – how they helped me discover my soul’s purpose and even write this book.

The angels gave me a process that all can use to access their angels.  Learn how to use the process to bring more love, joy, and peace into your life.

At the end of the workshop will be a ritual to launch the book.  I will then be available to sign books.
